Samleikin

Samleikin is a Faroese digital identity that can be used as a secure authentication on various e-services.

You can choose to use the app in English or Faroese.

You need to register for Samleikin, before you can use the app. You can order it directly in the app or personally at Staravegur 9 in Tórshavn.

To order Samleikin, you need to be 15 or older, have a Faroese p-tal and a valid ID, passport og driver's licence, at hand.

You will use Samleikin everytime you log in to a e-service connected to Samleikin. Samleikin uses two factor authentication. This means that when you log in, you must go through two steps.

Step 1: Have your phone by hand in order to approve login

Step 2: Enter your personal PIN that you have chosen in the app.

First, go to the service you want to logon to. When you logon, Samleikin will notify you on your handheld device. When you open the app, a picture will be shown. This should be the same picture that you see on the logon site. When you have verified the pictures, you will be asked to type in your personal PIN in your Samleikin app.
