Great Psalm
Hear me, O God, when I make my complaint; Protect my life from the threatening enemy.
Defend me from the conspiracy of the wicked and from the loud crowd of evildoers.
They sharpen their tongues like a sword, and they point out poisoned words like arrows.
From whence they are ambushed, they shoot the upright man; they shoot by surprise without any fear.
They cheer one another up with evil plans, combine how to hide their traps, and say, "Who shall see them?"
They plot injustice and say, “We have made a perfect plan!” Their minds and hearts hide it!
But God will shoot their arrows at them; suddenly they will be hit.
By their own words shall they make one another fall; They shall shake their heads and mock them who see them.
All men will fear and proclaim the works of God, reflecting on what he has done.
Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD, and seek refuge in him; welcome all upright in heart!
