Imam Bukhari (full name Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin al-Mughira al-Ja'fai) was born in 194 A.H. and died in 256 A.H. Imam has spent 16 Years in collection and verification of Hadiths.

Imam Bukhari was born in 194 A.H. Imam Bukhari has spent sixteen years compiling it. There are 2,602 hadeeth (9,082 with repetition). Imam Bukhari worked very hard to compile these Hadiths. Each and every report that he has made in his collection of Hadiths are properly checked and verified along with the establishment of chain of reporters. The criteria with which imam has accepted the Hadiths in his collection was very stringent of all the scholars of Hadiths. The Collection of Imam Bukhari (Sahih Al Bukhari) is accepted and recognized by majority of Muslim around the world.
