Pierre-Yves was born in France and raised in post WWII Paris and subsequently near Switzerland in Evian, on the shores of lake Geneva. His first adventures in the medium of photography began at the age of ten, when he won several photo competitions and a couple of cameras.

Following in these early footsteps Pierre-Yves traveled to over fifty countries across all continents during his professional career, documenting and amassing a vast collection of images of life, people, places and the flora, fauna of exotic locations.

He now resides in Florida, concentrating on his early childhood passion, the medium of photography. His aesthetics reveal a strong surrealist influence, the pursuit of the unseen light as it defines and reshapes all that he sees and captures within his very personal vision.
