OCENS Mail is a robust, multi-platform email service honed to emphasize the quick, crisp delivery of mail through satellite connections. The OCENS Mail service is effective in reducing costs of transfer through low-bandwidth or high-fee communication pathways. It is equipped with an array of features recognizing the realities of satellite service:

Mid-file restart responds to variability in satellite signal quality. If signal drops and the connection is lost, mid-file restart picks up the file transfer from the point in the file it was at prior to signal loss. Potential airtime cost-savings are immense.

MegaMail allows you to specify just how big, ‘too big’ is and shunt mail that is too large to the MegaMail folder at OCENS Everon mail servers. The OCENS Mail app implements MegaMail through a patent-pending 2-step procedure displaying the size and subject of the mail waiting for you on Everon. You then are at liberty to tag only those mails of size or relevance suitable to you for immediate download, leaving the remaining files on Everon for later retrieval over a network connection.

Mail compression algorithms are tuned to provide lossless mail compression at its highest levels. Reducing transfer size lowers your airtime costs by reducing the total time of transfer on minute-based billing platforms and the number of bytes transfered on Megabyte based systems.

Spam-filtering is server-side, comprehensive and vigorous.

OCENS Mail is compatible with the Iridium, Inmarsat, Globalstar and MSAT satellite constellations. The OCENS Mail app intelligently dials and coordinates mail transfers with wifi-enabled satellite devices such as the Iridium GO and the Globalstar SatFi. It connects to legacy satellite phones and terminals without built-in wifi through the inexpensive Sidekick satellite wifi router. Of course, it works with effortless acceleration through network and wifi-enabled connections at home, the office or the local coffee shop.

The OCENS Mail app is often used as a mobile tool ancillary to OCENS Mail for your PC or Mac. However, it is equally effective as an implementation independent of a personal computer if you access your mail exclusively on mobile tablet and smartphone devices.
