An app to report on any illegal incident(ces) you come across

The Kenyan public has largely not had a platform to report some incidences related to terror, corruption, crime and the like. There is no specific platform where a person can use to report any criminal activity directly to the police, and having them held accountable for not acting on the information, apart from walking to the police station and reporting. This has limitations as the police station may be miles away and the 999 number is unreliable with no accountability on its part.

Najua 'I know' developed and implemented a mobile application where citizens can report on any incident or criminal activity in their vicinity. Najua gives an option where one can either capture an image, take video or voice record, give a short description and location of the incident and send. One can report on terrorism, corruption, general crime or even known individuals using their mobile phone.

The information sent through Najua mobile app, is received by relevant law enforcement officers, who are supposed to act or respond to it.
