Public speaking could include standing up in front of a board of directors, a panel of peers, or the entire company.

Having public speaking skills denotes that the individual is able to speak in public confidently, at an appropriate volume and pace, without appearing embarrassed, and without stammering while engaging the audience and delivering information clearly and concisely.

Public speaking is also a profession, with many businesses paying professional speakers for large events.
