The world is a vast place that is home to countless of diverse countries with unique geography, history, religion, culture, and peoples. Today, there are 195 countries in the world, which is admittedly quite a lot. However, despite the fact that we could live just about anywhere most of us spend the majority of our time in the country that we grew up in. And since most of us go on holidays to other countries once or twice a year, that means that we could never visit every single country in the world for we just couldn't fit them all into our life - we'd have to live to be at least a hundred years old, but preferably older.

Of course, those that have caught the travel bug are hell bent on seeing as many countries and experiencing as many cultures as possible. Still, one doesn't have to be a seasoned traveler to be aware of the countries that are out there. Sometimes the people who are interested in geography, history and culture will know more about the world than those who are always travelling and always on the go. Ticking boxes is never the best way to see and experience things.
