The RPGL is an Intra Club Golf tournament, open to all amateur members of RCGC .
The ROYAL PREMIER GOLF LEAGUE was started in 2016, as an Intra Club Golf tournament, open to all members of RCGC holding amateur status. The inaugural edition was held from 16th January to 20th March, 2016.
The format of the league is similar to that of IPL and is perhaps the first golf league in India of its kind. In the first edition, the league consisted of 14 team owners- each team consisting of 18 players.
The team owners selected their team from members of RCGC. The 14 teams were divided in 2 groups. Who played round robin matches culminating to a semi- final and final. The matches were played on Four ball better ball format.
The 1st edition was a great success & we are now into the 2nd edition, which will be played from January-March 2017. This time it will feature 20 teams with 21 players each.
