Fourth Course, Exercises and Practical Work is a set of educational resources intended for Fourth Year students, corresponding to the first year of the secondary cycle in the French education system. These materials cover several key subjects, such as mathematics, physics-chemistry (PC) and life and earth sciences (SVT). The objective is to provide students with the necessary foundations to succeed in their school year while preparing them for the rest of their career.

Courses: The courses offer an in-depth theoretical basis. In mathematics, students tackle essential concepts such as functions, analytical geometry, statistics, probability, and algebra, which will serve them throughout their education. In physics-chemistry, courses cover various themes such as mechanics, electricity, solution chemistry, and the structure of matter, with an emphasis on the scientific method. In SVT, courses allow you to explore biology and geology through subjects such as cells, biodiversity, ecosystems and geological phenomena.

Exercises: The exercises give students the opportunity to put into practice the theoretical concepts seen in class. In mathematics, this includes solving problems, performing algebraic calculations, proving theorems, and interpreting graphs. In physics and chemistry, the exercises focus on calculations related to movements and forces, as well as problems related to chemical reactions. In SVT, students analyze biological data, interpret graphs on the evolution of species, or even explain natural phenomena such as erosion and photosynthesis.

Practical Work (TP): Practical work is a special time when students concretely apply the concepts learned in class. In physics and chemistry, they carry out laboratory experiments on chemical reactions, measure forces or study electrical circuits. In SVT, students observe biological samples under a microscope, analyze cells or simulate ecological processes. These activities promote the acquisition of scientific skills through manipulation and critical reasoning.

This program aims to strengthen students' analytical and scientific skills, while preparing them for future career choices, whether they are scientific, economic or literary fields.
