Chess is one of the oldest strategy games, as you may already be aware.
The board game of chess is a great way to practice tactics, strategy, and visual memory.
I'm attempting to develop a program so that any player can take pleasure in the game.
Play chess to advance through levels and become a master!

At the first move of this figure, the pawn goes one field forward or two fields forward and beats diagonally.
The king travels to one field in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal direction.
The queen can move any distance, whether it be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.
The rook can move either vertically or horizontally to any distance.
- The knight advances two fields in a vertical direction.
The bishop can go diagonally any distance.
Significant chess circumstances
In chess, a check is when an opponent's pieces are directly attacking the king.
- Checkmate refers to the chess term for when the player whose turn it is to move is checked and cannot make a move to free himself.
Stalemate in chess refers to a position where the player with the move has no lawful action and is not in check. (draw)
To checkmate, the opposing king is the object of the game.
There are two unique chess moves:
- Castling is a double move that the king and the immobile rook make.
En-passant, or jumping over a field, allows a pawn to steal an opponent's pawn.
