Plural Star

Plural Star is a private, offline-first system management app built for plural individuals, those with DID, OSDD, or any form of plurality.

Made in part with AI assistance, which is one of the main reasons we went Open Source. So that anyone wishing to, or with concerns, can examine the code.

Simply Plural and Octocon have been discontinued. Plural Star is the replacement you own entirely; your data stays on your device.

Features

Three-Tier Front Tracking

Track Primary Front, Co-Front, and Co-Conscious. Each tier has its own member, mood, note, and energy (1–10); Primary also tracks location. Members are exclusive to one tier. A persistent notification keeps all tiers visible. Optional front-check reminders.

Friends & Syncing

Optional end-to-end encrypted networking, off by default; the relay sees only encrypted blobs. Add friends with short mutual codes and see their front live. Privacy Buckets set what each friend sees: members, groups, journal, history, profile, whiteboard, or planner. Link your own devices: pick which sends first, then everything syncs both ways, pictures included. Pin up to five friends into the notification, or the iOS Live Island.

Member Profiles

Profile pictures, 900×300 banners, names, pronouns, roles, colors, rich-text bios with full Markdown. Freeform tags and colored groups with multi-group membership. Facets and Custom Fronts for parts that aren't members. Filter, search, sort six ways. Tier badges when fronting. Archive dormant members: history preserved, restorable.

Turns Plural Star into a manual status tracker and journaling app with a rebuilt UI for the Singlets in our lives, granting almost every feature. For non-plural friends, family, and caretakers.

Calendar of appointments and repeating reminders, each with its own mark color and alerts.

Whiteboard

Freeform canvas: pen, shapes, fill, and eraser.

Custom Fields

Define your own per-member fields, eight types from text to Markdown. Reorderable, renameable, exportable.

Mailbox

System-wide mail between headmates: per-member inboxes with unread badges, replies, and pinning. Syncs across devices.

System Polls

Polls the whole system can vote on. Vote tallies, voter tracking, optional closure. One vote per member; changeable until closed.

System Map

Chart relationships between headmates on an interactive force-directed graph. Members join as you create relationships.

History & Insights

Front History: timestamped log of every switch by day, with co-front and co-conscious tiers inline. Member History: every session, mood/location/note change, energy, and journal entry per headmate, with totals. Add retroactive entries with three-tier support and overlap detection.

System Statistics

Total fronting time, session and message counts, with time-range filtering. Leaderboards for fronters, co-fronters, co-conscious, chatters, moods, and locations. Peak Hours shows when your system is most active.

System Chat

Local-only IRC-style chat, up to 100 channels. Speaker is independent of who's fronting; chat doesn't affect front or history. Text, images, replies, emoji reactions. Archive channels to free storage.

System Journal

The same rich-text entries with full Markdown as member profiles. Tag by author and topic hashtag. Optionally lock individual entries or the whole journal with passwords.

Import & Export

Import full system data from Simply Plural, PluralKit, Octocon, Ampersand, Ourcana, HiveMind, Tupperbox, Parallax, PluralLog & PluralSpace. Export as .zip, HTML, or email summary with per-category toggles. Import .txt, .md, or .json directly as journal entries.
