Peter pan

Peter Pan and Wendy (in English, Peter and Wendy), Peter Pan, or the young man who did not want to grow up (Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up), is a play (1904) and a novel (from 1911) written by the Scottish writer James M. Barrie. The play tells the story of Peter Pan, a teenager who flies and doesn't want to grow up, and his adventures in Neverland with the brothers Wendy, John and Michael Darling; the fairy Tinker Bell, the little Lost Ones and the evil Captain Hook.

The play opened in London on December 27, 1904 with Nina Boucicault, daughter of playwright Dion Boucicault, in the title role. In 1905 a Broadway production was mounted, starring Maude Adams. It was later revived with actresses like Marilyn Miller and Eva Le Gallienne. It was transformed into a literary book in 1911.
