The 2024 Election Stages application was made with the aim of making it easier for users to get complete information related to the Indonesian general election, such as

In the implementation of the election has five objectives, namely:

1. Elections as the implementation of people's sovereignty Sovereignty lies in the hands of the people.

This is because the sovereign people cannot rule directly. With elections, the people can determine their representatives. The elected representatives will also determine who will hold the reins of government.

2. Elections as a means of establishing political representation

Through elections, people can choose representatives who are trusted to channel their aspirations and interests. The higher the quality of the election, the better the quality of the people's representatives who can be elected in the people's representative institutions.

3. Elections as a means of replacing leaders constitutionally

Elections can confirm the current government or to bring about government reform. Through elections, an aspirational government will be trusted by the people to lead again. Conversely, if the people do not believe in it, the government must end and change.

4. Elections as a means for political leaders to gain legitimacy

Voting for voters in elections is basically giving the people's mandate to the elected leader to run the wheels of government. Elected political leaders gain the political legitimacy of the people.

5. Elections as a means of public political participation

Through elections, the people can directly determine public policies through their support for contestants who have aspirational programs. Contestants who win because they are supported by the people must realize their promises when they hold the reins of government.

In short, the purpose of elections is to select government leaders, both executive and legislative. As well as to form a government that is democratic, strong and gains the support of the people in order to realize national goals in accordance with the 1945 Constitution.

In its implementation, elections must use several principles, namely:

General

Elections apply to all eligible citizens. Elections do not discriminate against religion, ethnicity, race, gender, class, occupation, etc.

Direct

The community as voters have the right to vote directly in general elections according to their own wishes without intermediaries.

Free

All citizens who meet the requirements as voters in elections are free to determine who will be elected to carry their aspirations without pressure.

Honest

All parties related to the election must act and act honestly in accordance with applicable regulations.

Fair

Election implementation, both voters and election participants receive the same treatment, and are free from fraud from any party.

Confidential

In making their choice, voters are guaranteed the confidentiality of their choice. Voters cast their votes on ballots without being known to anyone else.
