Palliativ Yardim

Palliative care is a multidisciplinary medical specialty aimed at supporting the possible quality of life and reducing suffering of patients with severe disease and their family members. Palliative care is based on symptom management. Issues of attention in this type of care include: defining the goals and objectives of care based on the patient's values ​​and desires; ensuring continuous communication between the patient and all persons involved in his care; providing psychological, social, spiritual, religious and practical support to patients and family members; and coordination of care across the spectrum.

The main purpose of this mobile application, developed by the Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry of Health, is to provide patients, their families and medical staff with detailed information on palliative care and help them find answers to their questions.

In addition to the features of palliative care, the mobile application describes the management of symptoms, psychological and social support, measures to reduce the fear of losing a loved one in the family or anxiety. It also includes national and international experience in palliative care, information on palliative care organizations in Azerbaijan and their activities.
