An optical illusion is any illusion of sight, which leads us to mistakenly perceive reality. These may be a physiological or cognitive effects associated with excessive stimulation of the eyes or brain (brightness, color, motion, etc. as spell after seeing a powerful light), or cognitive, that involved our knowledge of the world. Cognitive illusions are commonly divided into ambiguous illusions, distorting illusions, illusions and paradoxical illusions dummy (hallucinations).
