OKA

OKA is a mobile application aimed at increasing access to services by

migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and IDPs. OKA has

geo information on services offered by federal, state and municipal public agencies and, in the first phase, information on local services in the municipalities of Rio de Janeiro and Boa Vista.

In addition to presenting the services existing in Brazil, the application contains

explanation of the requirements necessary to access them, including with regard to the

documentation. The programs mapped out by OKA cover the following categories:

housing, education, health, social assistance, legal assistance, including

contacts so the user can seek help in emergency situations.

The application is available for free in Portuguese, Spanish and French.
