Nung, Nung Giang, Nung An, Nung Lien, Nung Phan Sinh, Nung Cho, Nung Inh, Nung Quyen and Nung Di are one of the 54 ethnic groups of the Vietnamese government. Male formal classification.

Nung people speak Nung language, Tai language is Tai language of the Tai-Kadai language.

Nung people live in the northeastern provinces of North Vietnam such as Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang etc. (accounting for 84%). At present, large numbers have migrated to the Central Highlands provinces (11%), mainly in Dak Lak. This migration process began in 1954, when the Viet Minh controlled northern Vietnam.

Nung people have a close relationship with Tay and Zhuang people living along the border with China. In China, the Nung and the Tay are grouped in the Choang ethnic group.
