In the heart of Virginia’s horse country, just minutes away from historic Civil War sites, you’ll find Bull Run Golf Club, one of the Washington, D.C., area’s most outstanding golf courses. We have lots of awards to our credit: Golf Magazine named Bull Run Golf Club as the best new public course in 1999; the Washington Times called us the “best public course in the D.C. area” in 2000; and Washington Golf Monthly named us to the mid-Atlantic’s “100 Must-Play Courses.” Here’s why golfers love Bull Run Golf Club. Where the typical course covers an area of 120 to 130 acres, ours stretches across more than 450. There is plenty of room here for the flora, fauna and fish as well as the golfers.

Our renowned architect Rick Jacobson designed this course with the player in mind. From the back tees, the course at Bull Run Golf Club is difficult enough to challenge the best hitters, especially if the greens are set with some tough pin locations. There are also wide fairways here with excellent views of where your next shot is supposed to land and there are often run-up options to the greens even where the hazards look tricky.
