Nirbhaya Jaipur

Nirbhaya is a personal safety app designed to keep you and your friends safer 24/7. The Project is funded by Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) Govt of India, developed by Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) and currently implemented for Jaipur Police.

This application turns your Android phone to a Security device that can send SOS alerts to the Police in case of any emergency. Whenever you feel you are in danger, walking alone at night, or any other times you or your family feels unsafe — a simple click sends an emergency message with your location information to Police Control Room. A live SMS Agent at Police control room is immediately notified about the alert. The agent instantly identifies the Police patrolling vehicles nearest to your current location and notify them along with your exact location and personal information. The Police will reach you and provide you the necessary assistance.

This application is developed to work as part of Electronic Personal Safety System (EPSS). For more information regarding EPSS and to know more details on how the system works please visit: www.epss.in

NOTE: Currently the project is Implemented for Jaipur Police and the App will work only within Jaipur City Limits.

After downloading the Android application please ensure you register yourself by logging in to www.epss.in. During registration you need to provide your basic details and also emergency contact details. After registration you will be

provided an option to Configure your Android application using which you can configure your App.

SOS - Click on SOS to send SOS alerts

ALARM - To obtain public attention and alert the public with a loud alarm.

1090 - Click to dial to Women helpline number 1090
