Ngā Taonga o Ngāti Toa

This app is an educational aid to assist with the learning and retention of the oral traditions of Ngāti Toa.

Beginners and novices often find it very challenging to learn and retain taonga like these, especially when not directly under the tutelage of learned and experienced teachers. This app is a tool for learning by rote. Each item provides the words (lyric) and one or more recordings, which can be played repeatedly. Most of the items can be played a line at a time; You can select which lines you'd like to focus on and the app plays only those lines, repeating the sequence indefinitely. At any point, you can simply touch the next line to add it to the group being played.
