NAMEone

A party game of quick recall. Can you be the first person to name one?

NAMEone is a game that can be played with any number of players each on an individual mobile device.

HOW TO PLAY

All players start a new game on their own phone. The phones are then placed on the table in front of their owner.

Players go around in a circle tapping the "DRAW" button on their own screen. This will generate a random symbol and category displayed on the screen.

If any other player has the same symbol on their screen, then these two players have a "match". Of these two players, the first to "name one" example of the other player's category wins the match.

If you win a match, tap the "+" button to increase your score.

If you lose a match, tap "DRAW" again and you might get another chance to score.

(Don't worry if you increase your score by accident - there is a "-" button in case this happens!)

When you get enough points to win, you will see a message on your screen to say so. Announce to the table how great you are, and invite everyone to have another go!

EXAMPLE OF GAMEPLAY

1. A group of players sit down to play NAMEone. They get their phones out, start the app, and create a new game with default settings.

2. Alice goes first. She taps "DRAW" and a symbol & category appear. Next up, Bob taps "DRAW" on his own phone and also receives a symbol and category. Charlie does the same.

3. After a few turns, two players, Alice and Bob, simultaneously have the same symbol.

4. Alice's category is COLOUR and Bob's category is ADJECTIVE.

5. Before Bob can say "Red", Alice cuts in with "BIG!"

6. The players agree that Alice has named a correct answer to Bob's category before Bob named one for Alice's category.

7. Alice taps "+" on her own device and her score goes up. Bob can then tap "DRAW" and may match again with another player.
