Mankuthimmana Kagga is a beautiful and profound collection of 945 poems. Kagga is known for its simplicity of language, depth of content and the poetic flow. Each poem is of four lines and most of them can be sung. Some of the poems are in old Kannda style (halagannada).
D.V.G is best known for his major literary works in Kannada. Mankuthimmana Kagga is widely regarded as a masterpiece among the Kannada speaking population of southern India, and is referred to as the Bhagavad Gita in Kannada.
