A brand new adventure game with an old-school approach, "Light in the Soul" takes you on a journey into the dark corners of human psyche, as you try to crack the bizarre secret of a seemingly picture-perfect Midwestern town. Soul Springs is just the kind of place to spend your summer vacation in, to relax and get away from it all. Now, three lives are about to cross paths there, three people who came to the town to escape the trouble of their damaged lives, to look for new opportunities and new horizons.

But sometimes there is no escape. Sometimes trouble will follow.

Scarlet, the labeled "witch and freak", who chose to work with animals to avoid the pain of facing people, wanted nothing more than a quiet summer. Yet when the animals around Soul Spring suddenly begin to disappear with no explanation, she finds herself forced into action, as her fragile, still-recovering mind begins to question reality itself.

Nathan, the troubled painter who came to the town to find inspiration and to flee the darkness that has haunted him all his life, hopes only for solitude. But when he finds himself surrounded by people he never chose to meet, he must decide what alliances to make -- and anyone is to be trusted at all.

Dye, once a bright student, now a depressed shadow of his former self, would rather spend the rest of his days locked inside his room, imprisoned there by his doubts and anxieties. Yet when the solution to the ominous secret of Soul Springs comes to depend on him and him alone, he must stand up to his greatest enemy -- his very own mind.
