Leaf Pro

Leaf Pro is a Nissan Leaf OBD2 scanner and battery health checker. Plug a cheap OBD2 adapter into your Leaf and see the battery's state of health (SOH), all 96 cell voltages, live power, charging and range, straight from the car's own battery controller. No dealer visit and no subscription.

BUYING A USED NISSAN LEAF? CHECK THE BATTERY FIRST

The battery is most of what a used Leaf is worth. Leaf Pro's Full Assessment records a short test drive and gives a plain-English verdict: state of health, capacity bars, range compared with a new pack, and how every cell behaves at rest and under hard acceleration. A weak cell that hides at rest shows up under load. Save the report as a PDF to show a buyer or seller.

BATTERY HEALTH IN DETAIL

• State of health (SOH), Hx, capacity in Ah and Gids

• All 96 cell pair voltages, with the lowest and highest named

• Cell balance and which cells are balancing right now

• Pack temperatures

• Nissan's service-manual cell voltage loss check

• Quick charge and L1/L2 charge counts

LIVE DATA WHILE YOU DRIVE

• State of charge, pack voltage, current and power

• See where the energy goes: motor, regen, heater, A/C and 12 V load

• Speed, gear, motor rpm, torque and motor temperature

• Estimated range from your own driving, not a guess

• Tyre pressures and 12 V battery

CHARGING

Charger power, charge rate and an honest time to 100 % that allows for the slow-down near full.

EVERY DRIVE, LOGGED AUTOMATICALLY

Journeys start and stop with the car. Each one records distance, energy used and regenerated, efficiency, route map, elevation and cost.

• Compare up to 10 drives side by side, with overlaid speed, charge and elevation charts. Find out which route really uses less energy.

• Usage stats by day, week, month or year

• See what each drive cost against a petrol, diesel or LPG car

• Export any drive as CSV, or share a drive card

WORKS WITH EVERY NISSAN LEAF GENERATION

2011-2012 (24 kWh), 2013-2017 (24 and 30 kWh) and 2018 onwards (40 and 62 kWh, including e+). The model and battery size are detected automatically. The 2026 third-generation Leaf is not supported yet.

WHAT YOU NEED

An ELM327-type OBD2 adapter: Bluetooth Low Energy, classic Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It plugs into the OBD port under the dashboard. The app shows you what to buy and walks you through connecting.

FREE, WITH ONE OPTIONAL PURCHASE

Live data, charging, journeys, comparisons and cost tracking are free, with a small ad. Battery health, cell voltages, cell balance, the voltage loss check and the Full Assessment are one purchase that also removes the ads. Pay once, keep it. No subscription.
