About El Tanaj

English

The Complete Tanakh in Spanish

The Tanach (from the Hebrew acronym תַּנַךְ tanakh), also known as the Hebrew Bible is the set of the twenty-four canonical holy books in Judaism.

The Tanach is divided into three main parts:

-Torah (Law),

-the Nevi'im (Prophets)

-the Ketuvim (Writings).

The texts of El Tanaj are written mainly in ancient Hebrew, although there are also passages in ancient Aramaic (Book of Daniel, Book of Ezra, and others).

The Hebrew text of the traditional Tanach is called a Masoretic text.

The Tanach constitutes what Christians call the Old Testament, although these have 46 books instead of 24.

Protestant churches have 39 books in the Old Testament, which would be the division of the 24 books of El Tanaj.

In El Tanaj you will find the complete books. You will also find a glossary of terms that will be very helpful.
