Fun games help kids to learn names of parts of the body in English.
This app helps kids to learn names of parts of the face and the body in English and practise and memorise the words in learning games.
On the start screen you see a child and a frame with the part of the face or body to learn. When a kid taps the frame, the name of the part of the face or body sounds and the picture is ticked to mark that the word has been demonstrated.
When entering the MAIN MENU, the kid sees a presentation and can tap the cards and learn the names of parts of the body in English in any order, as well as repeat them several times. When the kid has learnt the names of parts of the body in English, he/she can move on to games.
The app contains 3 games:
☻LISTEN AND CHOOSE game teaches kids to recognize parts of the face / body by their names. There are 4 cards with parts of the face / body on the screen and a word sounds. The kid needs to choose the correct card and tap it. If the choice is right, the circle at the top of the screen turns green, if the choice is wrong the circle turns red.
☻MEMORY GAME teaches kids to find pairs of matching cards. The cards have pictures of one or two parts of the face / body (e.g. nose, eyes). Accordingly, the words sound in singular or plural form. The kid finds pairs of cards based not only on the pictures but also on the words he/she hears. Once a pair is found, the cards remain on the screen with the pictures facing up. The cards that don’t match each other turn the pictures down.
☻CONSTRUCTION game teaches kids to create a picture from separate pieces. The game starts with a presentation: a word sounds and a finger shows how to drag the correspondent part of an animal’s body to the outline of the animal. If the task is done correctly, the part fills its place. If the task is done incorrectly, the part returns to its place. When the animal is “built”, the picture begins to move. Sound effects help the child to see which attempts are correct and which are not.
