For the academic development and collaboration of members, Korean Society of Echocardiography (KSE) will hold Autumn Conference 2017 on November 25th and 26th, at Vista Hall of Grand Walkerhill Hotel. This meeting has been a place of an opportunity for everyone who has interest in echocardiography, and has been devoted to encourage the clinical and basic research.

Especially in this conference, through a new trial of comparing the findings of echocardiographic examination with the actual heart pathology, we intend to expand the members’ understanding on echocardiography examination and heart diseases.

Besides, we will discuss future of the echocardiography, and medical insurance policy in conjunction with the national medical insurance system. Now that the echocardiography field is appointed as a required subject of internal medicine resident course, residents are highly interested in the field.

Therefore, this conference will try to provide not only enough basic lectures but also actual experience of echocardiographic examination with the simulated cases, for those who just started. In addition, new and superior research outcome of the members will be presented and discussed as usual.

For the members who are already familiar with echocardiography, the up-to-date opinions about the echocardiography field will be shared, and the existing knowledge will be reviewed comprehensively.

To increase the international awareness of KSE, we will invite world renowned speakers and promising young researchers, so that the members can acquire the newest knowledge, and young researchers who will lead the echocardiography field can interact with researchers in the world.

It is expected that the number of active foreign participants will increase to present their original research data rather than invited speakers or the chair persons, which has been done as an international scientific conference.

Therefore, it is inevitable that some programs should have English presentation, and through this, our conference help to enhance the international positioning of KSE.
