Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia developed her interest in jewelry design and goldsmithing while studying architecture and interior design. The pursuit of this passion lead her to complete coursework in Gemology at IGI Antwerp— including “Colored Stones Identification,” “Colored Stones Grading and Evaluation,” and “Pearl Grading and Evaluation”— and eventually to realize a jewelry line of her own in 2011. After participating in various AltaRoma editions and projects, including Simonetta Gianfelici’s Room Service, AltaRoma presented her Jack in the Pulpit collection in July of 2013, as part of their official calendar. Soon after, the collection was exhibited at the US Embassy in Rome and, in the same year, landed in St. Petersburg. Over the years, Mancinelli has also collaborated with fashion designers such as Marco Grisolia and Quattromani, finalists of WION 2013, creating jewelry for their collections. Her jewelry has appeared in a variety of international publications in print and online, including Vogue Jewelry, Vogue Accessories, Vogue Talents, Elle Mexico, Elle Shopping, Velvet, MarieClaire, Grazia.it, BookModa, Collezioni Haute Couture, L’Officiel Thailand, Cosmopolitan, Codigo.

The jewelry collection signed by Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia is born in 2011. Two years later, after a journey of experience in research and experimentation in fine jewelry, the roman designer decides to start a new deal, closed to the prêt-à-porter approach. Each piece develops from unique and unconventional choices, where creative inspiration arrives in stylistic juxtapositions between details sourced from architecture, art, microphotography, and material textures. Original designs materialize in silver, brass, black ruthenium, and polychrome enamel, creating jewelry of both current and unprecedented combinations. A high quality and level of artisanal workmanship, exclusively Made in Italy, characterizes the profound care put into every piece of GMB jewelry.
