FanBlue Remote

Android remote control for home residential ceiling fans.

FanBlue Remote is remote control app for home residential ceiling fans of various types using Bluetooth communication. This app has buttons for two-speed fan and light-fixture control. The 'open' and 'close' buttons are reserved for future Home Blue Automation products.

FanBlue Remote also offers thermostat control for the hardware device module. Set-it-forget thermostat control with on-screen temperature display in Celsius or Fahrenheit. With the thermostat featured enabled, FanBlue Remote will display "Thermostat ON" corresponding to the blue LED indicator on the hardware device module. Change device module naming and security by using the Bluetooth Configuration screen.

Current version of FanBlue Remote is only compatible with "classic" BR/EDR Bluetooth technologies, Low-energy Bluetooth (BLE) development is underway.

FanBlue has been tested successfully on HTC Android devices up to API 13 release. Bugs pertaining to "Unfortunately FanBlue Remote has stopped" were identified on all Samsung Android devices (Phones and tablets). FanBlue Remote version 2.0 (under development/testing) utilizes BLE and API 19 which fixes the crashing problem on Samsung devices.
