English For Kids

E4K is an application helps kids to learn English.

- Our app will include some functions such as listening, reading, and writing.

- By tapping on the screen, kids can learn English with fun and excitement.

- We toward on giving kid a more attractive, interesting environment to play and learn English.

We have some mini games for each skill separately.

1. Listening

• Multi choice game

- There are 5 topics: animals, alphabet, fruit, objects, color. (maybe more)

- Each topic has 10 questions

- Each question has 4 image (random in the database about 50 times) after hearing from the selected corresponding new image (which allows playback buttons)

- Player’s selection will be audible to indicate right or wrong then system will switch to next question.

- Done 10 questions, system will sum up the score.

• Learn new words through hearing

- There are 5 topics: animals, alphabet, fruit, objects, color. (maybe more)

- Choose one topic then an image of that subject will be appeared in turn, tap on the screen and system will be emitted sound and displayed text, user can swipe to move to another image.

2. Speaking

• Standard Pronunciation

- Display and pronounce the word correctly.

- App will display the text corresponding to the user's pronunciation to users to compare and know they right or wrong.

- If the pronunciation is right, system will automatically switch to the next word.

- If the pronunciation is wrong, users can pronounce it again, or tap next to move to the next word.

3. Writing

• Games queue

- Screen displays a random word.

- Player writes one word that begins with the last letter of the word given. (Eg given from TABLE -> player writes EMPTY; this is correct).

- If player answers correctly, the sound is right, system adds new point and moves to next word.

- If player answers incorrectly or out of time, the sound is wrong and system displays current point.

• Missing character

- System displays images and the characters of the image’s meaning but it will be missing a few characters (For example, the images of a table and the word form below is TA_LE). Player is required to complete the missing characters.

- If player fills out the missing character correctly, it moves to another image and add new point. If selection is incorrect, the sound is wrong and it shows summary points out.

• Word order

- System displays images and the characters of the image’s meaning but it is ordered randomly (For example, the images of a table and the word form below is A B T L E). Player is required to complete the word in order.

4. Vocabulary

• Multiple choice

- There are 4 topics: objects in the house, animals, fruit, color. (maybe more)

- Each topic has 10 questions.

- System displays an image and 4 answers A B C D, which is the vocabulary related to that picture.

- Player chooses 1 answer.

- Player’s selection will be audible to indicate right or wrong, then system will switch to next question.

- Done 10 questions, system will sum up the score.
