Our app is request based to protect our members from unwanted attention, while allowing them to control who, when and where. We have also built in live chat to make your communication flow along with designing some very clever features for those in unfamiliar territory. Our objective is to provide a simple a D8ing experience without the burden of a psychological assessment and data driven metrics determining who you should be with. For those who would prefer to take their time in a more traditional online method getting to know people through chat, we have also designed the “request chat” feature which allows members to take their time getting to know people before taking the next step. Our chat area has been developed allowing users to enjoy the quality we would expect from primary chat apps such as WhatsApp and Messenger. Incorporating a world-first "Take me to my D8" for users that may be travelling or in an unfamiliar area. This function allows one or both members to share their location and find each other with live GPS location which one or both members can choose to share their locations with the other user or input a location they would like to meet. For our members' protection, we also considered that while using the world's leading social platforms, users are often sent unwanted sexually explicit photographs and messages. D8 gives you the choice if you would like to receive this or not.
