Street art is a fine art created in public places, usually works of art created outside the context of forging-a place of traditional art. The term began to fame during the explosion of graffiti art in the early 1980s and then applied to similar forms. Trensil graphics, embedded poster art or sticker art, and street installations or sculptures are a common form of modern street art.

The terms "urban art", "guerrilla art", "post-graffiti" and "neo-graffiti" are also sometimes used when referring to artwork created in those contexts. Graffiti artworks painted with traditional sprays themselves sometimes fall into this category, except territorial graffiti or pure vandalism.
