Jutsu Technique

Jujutsu (also spelled Jujitsu, Ju-Jitsu or Jiu-Jitsu) is a martial art originating from Japan. Jujutsu is basically a defensive form of defense and uses the technique of "Yawara-gi" or flexible, where the opponent's attack is not confronted with strength, but by "cheating" the opponent so that attack power can be used. to defeat itself. From this Jujutsu martial art, born some other martial arts that have similar defensive concepts, namely Aikido and Judo, both also from Japan.

Jujutsu consists of various streams (Ryuha), but the outline is divided into two "styles", namely traditional and modern. The movement of these two "styles" of Jujutsu is almost identical, but the modern Jujutsu movement has been adapted to modern self-defense situations, whereas traditional Jujutsu movements usually reflect defensive situations when the Jujutsu flow is created. For example, the Jujutsu created in the days of Sengoku Jidai (before the Tokugawa Shogunate in power) emphasized fighting on the battlefield using armor (called Yoroi Kumi Uchi), while being made in the Edo period (after Tokugawa Shogun came to power) Emphasizing martial arts by wearing a day's garment -day (Suhada Jujutsu).

The Jujutsu technique describes the atemi waza (attacking the weak part of the opponent's body), kansetsu waza / gyakudori (locking the opponent's joint) and waza nage (dropping the opponent). Each Jujutsu stream has its own way of doing this technique. This technique was born out of self-defense methods against the Samurai (ancient warriors) when they lost their swords, or did not want to use their swords (for example because they did not want to hurt or kill their opponents).
