Justin Drew Bieber (London, Canada, March 1, 1994), better known as Justin Bieber, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. In 2008, the music industry executive Scooter Braun discovered Bieber when he accidentally saw him in some videos on YouTube and later became his manager. Braun reunited the singer with Usher in Atlanta, where he signed a musical contract with the record label of Braun and Usher, Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), and a recording with Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.
In the summer of 2009 he released his debut single "One Time", which was ranked in the top thirty positions of the charts in more than ten countries. The release was followed by his debut album My World, on November 17, which received positive reviews and a platinum certification by the RIAA. Bieber became the first artist to have seven singles from a debut album on the Billboard Hot 100. His first full studio album, My World 2.0, was published on March 23, 2010 and was preceded by the international hit «Baby» . In August 2011 the official video clip of the song "Baby" became the most watched music video on YouTube with around 300 million views, surpassing at that time the video "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. In June 2010 he embarked on his first tour, My World Tour.
The singer has been nominated and awarded numerous times, in fact he won the American Music Awards Artist of the Year Award in 2010 and was nominated in the 53rd Grammy Awards in the categories of Best New Artist and Pop Album. However, he was also awarded the "worst music artist" and "worst album" award by My World, awarded by the weekly publication New Musical Express.
