Adamas Rice Edu, the latest offering from Rice, with technology partner TechVerita Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is an android app that helps in reviewing questions in the existing question bank of Rice. With the help of latest technologies the app can store the question sets and pdf sets offline, in a secured way and helps in saving data consumption.

The app can work with two types of sets

1. Question sets.

2. Pdf sets.

Functionalities for Question Set

a. Can be saved offline.

b. Tracks progress and displays completion percentage for easier understanding.

c. Allows most special characters used in mathematics including superscripts, subscripts,

Greek alphabets, set characters, calculus characters, arrows etc.

d. User can go to any question from a question by putting in the question number.

e. It is ensured that end-user writes at least something against each question.

f. Upload button appears once the user is done checking the entire set.

Functionalities for Pdf set

a. Can be saved offline.

b. All pdfs are open-password protected with 256 bit encryption, making them impossible

to be opened and hence omits the chance of unauthorized access.

c. Allows to place annotations in pdf. All the special characters supported in question set

are supported in here too.

d. The annotations can be moved around like chat bubbles, hence eliminating the chance

of losing unsaved data and adding capability to check question again if any doubt arise

even when the annotation is open.

e. Common or general remarks for the entire pdf set can be given.

f. Auto cleanup facility for deletion of pdf sets that are somehow erroneously present.

g. Search, redo, undo and view style of pdf files are easy to work with.

Users will get notifications when files have been assigned to them.

Overall it does not require much technical understanding to use this app, however a certain learning curve is there, which we have addressed using tutorial videos available in the dashboard of the app.
