JDC Darts Challenge

JDC (Junior Darts Corporation): brings together young players aged between 10 and 18 and has its own world championship. JDC Challenge is a training program and indicator of a player's performance.

How to Play JDC Challenge:

The game consists of three parts.

Part 1: Shanghai from number 10 to number 15. You start by shooting three arrows at the sector of number 10. In the case of sector 10, the single is worth 10 points, the double is worth 20 points and the triple is worth 30 points. Example on sector 11: first arrow on the single (11 points), second arrow on the triple (33 points) third arrow outside the sector (0 points). The total is 44 points and so on up to sector 15. If a sector with Shanghai is completed (one arrow on the single, one on the double and one on the triple) 100 bonus points are awarded. The sum of these scores forms a point total for Part 1 of the game.

Part 2: Around the Clock: one dart must be thrown for each double. You start by throwing a dart at double 1, the second dart at double 2 and the third at double 3, then continue until you throw the last dart at the red bull. Each successful dart scores 50 points. If the last throw towards the red bull hits, you get the usual 50 points plus an additional 50 bonus points.

Part 3: Shanghai from number 15 to number 20. Follows the same rules as Part 1.

At the end the scores of the three parts are added to obtain the final total score.

The JDC has classified various performance levels based on the points achieved, furthermore each level attributes a specific color of t-shirt.

Scores:

From 0 to 149 White T-Shirt

From 150 to 299 Purple T-shirt

From 300 to 449 Yellow Shirt

From 450 to 599 Green T-Shirt

From 600 to 699 Blue T-Shirt

From 700 to 849 Red T-Shirt

From 850 onwards Black T-shirt

Then there is the JDC Green Zone Handicap System, which allows less strong players to play x01 games in an easier mode. The Green Zone is a special area on the target, it is the bull, where the red center remains the same, while the green is enlarged. Players at the White, Purple, Yellow and Green shirt levels normally play 301 or 401 without the obligation to close with doubles, once they reach zero or below zero they must hit the Green Zone to close. In this mode you can have a score below zero (example: if he misses 4 and hits 18 he goes to -14, then shoots at the Green Zone to close).

The Blue, Red and Black jersey levels instead play at 501 standard, closing with double.
