Japanese Fairy Tales is a book collection of traditional fables and folklores from 1908, based on Theodora Ozaki's translation of the original version written in Japanese by Sadanami Sanjin. The stories are not direct translations as there may be some Japanese expressions that cannot be literally translated but most of the storyline and interpretation is kept.
