What is it:
A simple (and ad-free) home-screen widget that displays the current day of the week and date in a circular clock layout.
Why:
This project was inspired by the the excellent Khan Academy video on the size of the solar system. (See link below.) A circular calendar more directly symbolizes the earth's yearly orbit around the sun.

How to read the widget:
The clock is read from outside in, like "Monday, July, 30th." The outer ring displays the current day of the week, the center ring displays the current month name. A red dial revolves around the month ring, and displays the current day of the year. The center "flip-clock" displays the current day of the month.
How does it work:
The widget updates once daily around midnight. There are no user settings yet, but in Jellybean, and some custom launchers like "Nova Launcher" and "Launcher Pro", the widget can be re-sized, see second demo image for examples.
