It was logical to the early Egyptians who came to the States to choose his name. for their first church in their new country. St. Mark was the apostle and the preacher and the first bishop to their church. He is the one who led their forefathers to accept the faith and to confess that Jesus Christ is the Savior, and the Son of God. They had always been appreciative to this great apostle.
