InvestNuts has won the TOMMI award broadcast by KIKA in the "Education" category!

InvestNuts is a game for anyone who finds finance a bit dry but would still like to learn more about wealth building.

With InvestNuts you can playfully try out how risk and return are related when investing money. You take on the role of a squirrel that is piling up nuts for retirement by skillfully planting trees and harvesting their nuts. The different tree species bear different amounts of nuts in summer and are also affected to different extents by frost in winter. With clever planting, you can reap the largest haul of nuts and put your feet up in retirement.

The idea was developed with game students and financial experts in a GameJam and then implemented by GonKu Games in cooperation with the digital asset manager VisualVest and its parent company Union Investment. The project is scientifically accompanied with the question of whether games can help to build up financial knowledge.
