Shailesh Khatri

Shailesh Khatri is a practicing lawyer turned full time author.

Shailesh Khatri, After graduating in Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, he completed his LLB degree from Government Law College, Mumbai. He practiced in the chambers of several reputed lawyers for some years, after which he practiced on his own.

In the meanwhile he wrote a book titled ‘Reflections’. The book was received well by critics. This prompted him to write his first work of fiction titled ‘5 Soul Searching Short Stories,’ This book was long listed for the Crossword Book Awards 2013 (fiction category). This book and its performance prompted him to become a full time author.

He has written some other books titled ‘Wealth of Life’ and ‘Reflections Revisited’. He likes to write short stories and essays. His favorite genre is dark fiction. His idols in life include Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. His favorite book is the Bhagvata Gita and he enjoys reading its interpretations by various scholars. His hobbies include writing, reading and listening to music.

He shuttles between Lavasa and Mumbai, where he lives with his parents. His ambition is to nurture writing and bring out the writer in everyone!
