Philpill started as an MBA project at a British Business School, and it is now transforming into a useful philanthropy and social impact digital tool. This platform brings charitable organisations/NGOs, individuals and businesses together for social impact. Easy giving, tracking and promoting 'Goodness Footprint' are just some of the features of this digital solution which harnesses the benefits of technology to cater to the growing appetite for social impact – both at individual and corporate level. A simple unified and collaborative platform for giving, marketing and communication within the NGO and corporate world.

- A unique service that provides a unified platform enabling both the individual donor segment and the businesses sector to contribute towards social impact initiatives via app and website, by donating to a wide range of charitable causes

- Philpill provides smart logging of charitable giving within and outside the app/website and a search feature – through the ”Goodness Footprint”. This feature is particularly helpful for those individuals who need to disclose their charitable giving, e.g. for tax purposes

- Social media, communication and marketing platform features focussed on social impact and collaboration integrated with other Social Media platforms to “share” donation initiatives and inspire others to give

Key activities include:

- Provisioning of a secure and robust online platform for its users and stakeholders to give and receive donations, market their campaigns and causes and advertise and promote them through social media

- The charities and NGOs can accept donations either via the PayPal integration within the Philpill app/website or via Philpill URL redirection, i.e. redirecting the donor to the relevant NGO/charity’s dedicated web page to make a donation. For the former, the transactions are logged automatically to the donors’ Goodness Footprint, and for the later, the donor can record the transaction manually to his Goodness Footprint. Each registered charity can decide on its own fund receiving method and can change it at any time

- The user is encouraged to share his donation activity on his social media platform to market the cause he has supported and encourage others to give too
