Ihrowica

The book authored by pilot Jan Białowąs born in Ihrowica shows from many dimensions the shocking testimony of the pogrom carried out there on Poles by Ukrainian Banderite bands on Christmas Eve 24 XII 1944. It is a mature attempt to look at the time of war and the holocaust of Poles by the UPA. It is a record of efforts and continuous efforts leading to the commemoration of victims at the place of the crime. He describes many events remembered by Poles and Ukrainians who deplore the fact of the Christmas Eve murder.
