The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) promotes the health and well-being of the 12.4 million Illinois residents. Since 1877, residents and visitors alike have benefited from the IDPH’s many health and safety programs. By utilizing innovative technology, like this App, IDPH can reach and educate more Illinoisans. IDPH’s nearly 200 programs address a myriad of conditions across the life span and are designed so that all Illinois communities will achieve and maintain optimal health and safety. IDPH is committed to partnering with stakeholders, partners, and communities to realize its mission of protecting the health and wellness of the people in Illinois through prevention, health promotion, regulation, and the control of disease and injury. IDPH staff focus on communicating effectively with the public, and promoting health equity, fairness and social justice within diverse communities.
