1. At the start of the game, two numbered tiles randomly appear on the grid. They are usually two 2s (occasionally one 4 may show up).

2. Core Controls

Use the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) on your keyboard or swipe directly on the touchscreen to move all tiles. With each swipe, all tiles will slide in the direction you specify until they hit the edge of the grid or another tile.

3. Merging Rules

When two tiles with the same number collide while moving, they merge into a single new tile, and the number on the new tile is the sum of the two. For example: two 2s merge into a 4, two 4s merge into an 8, and so on.
