The hvv chip card is your electronic customer card. Using the hvv chip card app and an NFC-enabled smartphone, you can read your hvv chip card yourself – anytime, anywhere. This way, you always have an overview of the products on your customer card.

Are you a subscriber?

With the app, you can view your subscription, including its validity area and period, as well as the associated contractual partner. Any changes to your products and contracts will only be displayed after you update them on your hvv chip card. You can do this yourself at ticket machines with a card reader. Alternatively, we are happy to assist you at one of our service centers.

Do you have an hvv prepaid card?

You can also read this card with the app and an NFC-enabled smartphone. This allows you to quickly and easily access information about your current or expired tickets and the balance on your hvv prepaid card.

Here's how it works: hvv chip cards are read using Near Field Communication (NFC). This international data transfer standard enables the exchange of data between your hvv chip card and your NFC-enabled smartphone over short distances. This means you only need to briefly hold your hvv chip card against the back of your smartphone to see an overview of the products stored on it. NFC must be activated in your smartphone's settings for successful data exchange.
