STYROFOAM Brand Foam

Balls: two 4"; 3"; 2-1/2"

Cube, 4"

Other Materials

Metallic-finish acrylic paints: red; green; gold

Glitter: red; green

Solid sage green decorative paper, 12" x 12", two

Metallic gold trims: braid, 1/4" x 1-1/3 yds.; rib

Metallic gold ornament caps, four

Candle picks, two

Sage green taper candles, two

Tools

Sharp pencil

Ruler

Star punches

Optional: bone folder

Small putty knife

Disposable palette

Water basin

Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks

Thin, white craft glue

Paper paste

1.Punch 1" circle from scrap paper. Use sharp pencil to trace circles onto remaining 4" foam ball, scoring lines into foam.

2.Gently but firmly press ball against work surface to create slightly flattened base. Insert wooden skewer into center of flattened area.

3.Paint and glitter ornament in same way as other ornaments; let dry. Remove skewer.

4.Glue several toothpicks halfway into flattened base of ornament. Apply glue to free ends and insert into center top of cube. Dot hot glue between ornament and cube to secure. Let dry.

5.Glue and insert ornament cap into one side of ornament, near top. Tie gold braid trim into a bow and glue to ornament cap.

6.Glue and insert candle pick into center top of ornament. Let dry
