Welcome to Gortastic, the wildest gorilla game for the open Meshtastic network!

If you’ve ever wanted to unleash your inner ape, now’s your chance. The purpose of this app is to demonstrate that the underlying low-bandwidth, long-range communications provided by LoRa can be used for far more than just texting — they can bring fun, interactive, and even wild gaming experiences to life. And this is only the beginning; we have many more exciting features and mesh-powered games in store.

At SpecFive, we’re dedicated to making mesh networks more practical, enjoyable, and user-friendly. This app marks another step in that direction. While the concept, gameplay, and user interface are entirely our creation, we owe a debt of gratitude to the existing Meshtastic app, available under GPL, which enabled us to integrate protocol connectivity and related tasks seamlessly. In the spirit of open-source collaboration, we’re also releasing this app under GPL.
