Goku Dragon Kai Ultimate Butouden

In this game Goku Dragon Kai Ultimate Butouden you can play as many characters from the Dragonbals anime and manga series such as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, Cell and more.

While the Ball Kai anime ended at the Cell Saga, for completeness,

this game includes all the Buu saga characters such as Gotenks, Buu and Vegito.

This game also includes movie/tv special characters such as Broly, Gogeta and Bardock.

Those who played previous Butouden games on the system or mega will be aware that the series is mainly a two-dimensional fighting game in a similar vibe to street fighter.

The main difference being the ability to fly and charge up an energy bar which is used for energy based attacks.

The main game's story mode is told in several short missions which progress right from the Saiyan Saga to the Buu Saga.

There are also what-if battles which take place outside the traditional Dragonballss storyline and provide comic relief or unique situations.

Each character has three special attacks which consume between 20% and 50% of the player's energy.

There are also special attacks which when triggered will cause a minigame to occur.

The defender has a chance of blocking or countering the attack depending on the success of the defender at the minigame.

Each character has between 1 and 5 power level states. At the low levels, energy will regenerate.

At higher levels the energy will drain but attacks will be stronger,

so there is a trade-off between saving energy for attacks or putting it all into increasing damage power.

By pressing A,B,Y,X at the same time, your character enters a 'burst mode' which provides infinite energy for a limited time and can only be used once per round.

There is a challenge mode which provides players with different matches to complete against various CPU players.

There is also a local multiplayer mode which can be played with an additional player.

There is a lot of customisation available to the player in the form of 'quotes' which provide certain boosts but also with character clothing.

So you can put sunglasses or a scouter on whichever character you like.

Each character has several costumes, some of which are unlockable in the story mode.

Overall this is a very fun Goku Dragon Kai Ultimate Butouden and definitely worth checking out if Ball are a Dragon Z fan.
